The British knew about this and were preparing a secret mission, which was to sink the battleship "Tirpitz". Having bothered the ship and the Radian sailors: they were working on forks that cross the passage of convoys, so that they could go with military cargo from the United States to Arkhangelsk and Murmansk. During these raids, the German ship was attacked by British aircraft and Allied submarines, but without success.

The plan was made without first having tried it before. Captain Lunin and the attack on the Tirpitz

Please, whoever sunk the Tirpits, close it. This was destroyed by British bombers on the 12th leaf fall of 1944. Ale SRSR also claims merit from the right to fly to the battleship.
