James Bowen - Street Whale Named Bob (2014). New name: James Bowen, friend of the cat and writer of the World Bob

The story about how a stray cat named Bob and London street musician James Bowen became friends and partners, touched a sad heart.

The book “A Street Cat Named Bob” spent six months in the top ten bestsellers.

James Bowen lost his life to drugs. The sister and her boyfriend kicked the boy out of the house. The life of a street musician, his selfishness, his lack of sleep brought him to the point of despair. Bowen lived on the street for three years, until he lost a small apartment to the municipality.

But the decisive turn in the young man’s life came about five times when he picked up an ore-colored street cat from his front door in the middle of the night in London. The creature was injured. None of the neighbors recognized the cat as their own. Toddy James took the cat home, spent all the pennies that he had lost on bathing the creature and leaving him.

.

Then the young man tried to release the cat into the wild, but Prote Bob did not want to be separated and tagged along with his warrior, following him wherever he went. James had nothing to lose but to accept the cat into his company.

Bob takes him to work. I sat in charge while Bowen provoked passersby to sing and play a guitar in the Covent Garden area. Step by step, the cat learned a lot of tricks. And this immediately increased the collections.

This unexpected friendship helped James get out of bed and get on the right track. All at once, the stench began to permeate the central streets of London, and tourists uttered endless mimes to the musicians.
(They can also be seen on the streets of the city, most often in Covent Garden).

He’s a genius,” says 33-year-old James about Bob’s cat. He hopes to respect the ore artist as his ruler.
“We are partners,” the boy asserts. The musician will never forget about drugs.

Then, for tourists, Bob the cat and his lovely owner James Bowen started appearing on YouTube.
More and more often. People began to bring Bobov's knitted scarves.

The wonderful couple was noticed by literary agent Maria Panchos, who encouraged James to write a book.

Bowen labored over her for six months.

Success and then I grinned at you. The book became a bestseller, was translated into 18 publications and has already brought in good money.

And now negotiations are underway about a Hollywood film adaptation of this story.

James Bowen loves his cat. He survived two episodes when Bob arrived just before the hour. One day the cat was getting angry at a man in a fancy dress, and then suddenly a mastiff ran at him. Luckily, a few years later Bob turned around.

That's not all. James and Bob's hooligans controlled a wonderful flash mob on their FB page -

His books “A Street Cat Named Bob” and “The World of Bob the Cat,” co-authored with Gary Jenkins, became international bestsellers.

In the spring of 2007, Bowen signed up for a methadone program as a man who makes money in Covent Garden and lives on a council estate in Tottenham. One evening I turned home and found an ore cat at the entrance. Assuming that someone owes money, James simply turned to his apartment. When James saw the cat for the next day, he became concerned and discovered that the cat was not hurting, and also noted an infected wound on his paw. If James realized that none of the bastards have any claim to the cat, they would like to help him on their own.

Bowen took the cat to the nearest point of beneficial veterinary surgery, and since antibiotics were needed to treat the creature's infected wounds, James gave away all the money he had saved that day for her purchase. To ensure that he has completed his second two-year course of treatment and his wound no longer hurts, Bowen plans to take him to himself at any time until the master of the creature is found. If you can’t find all the necessary information about the cat’s master, you’ll decide to simply let him out into the street, hoping that he’ll find the way home. Otherwise, the cat began to steadily follow James, even if he turned on the street musician’s work with a bus. Summoning that the cat had nowhere to go, James took the cat home with him on a permanent basis, naming him Bob after a character from the television series “Twin Peaks.” So, just as Bob had to see James off to work, James untied the laces and began accompanying him to his regular place in Covent Garden and Piccadilly on bus 73, until now Bob loved to cuddle.

The public reaction was positive and the Bob-James couple became popular. James had to stop playing guitar on the street, which could result in problems with the law. There is a safer and more legal way to earn money – selling the street newspaper “The Big Issue”.

Since people have become obsessed with videos of James and Bob on YouTube, tourists have begun to visit Covent Garden more often, sometimes just to indulge them. James himself then decided to take methadone treatment and start using drugs. Vin explains his decision with the appearance of Bob, saying: “I respect that it all came down to this little thing. You came and asked me for help, and you asked for my help more strongly, but my body asked for self-destruction. “Vin is the reason that I now go through every day... he has unconditionally given me the right direction, which I have followed all my life.”

In 2016, based on the motives of this story, the film “The Street Kitten named Bob” was released.

I love true, never-before-seen stories. This is just one of those. The boys wandered together on the streets of London, and then became True Light Stars! We got a million views on YouTube, wrote a book, then another...

In any situation, you will first need to lose yourself as a human being. No matter what situation you find yourself in, you will always have a choice - to go further down or take it in your hands and, step by step, climb up the mountain. And if you save all your inner strength, mark this in life and give you an acceptance bonus. What happened to the author of this book:)

On the right, it’s not about the “cat” on the outskirts, but about kindness, sincerity and friendship. And it’s wonderful that such wide-ranging books are coming out that you can read quietly while lying on the sofa under a soft blanket, hugging your pet cat and listening to his innermost grumbling.

Official description:

This story has two main characters - James Bowen, a streetwise London musician, and Rudy Bob, a streetwise London cat. The stinks were homeless and selfless, but one time they fought one another...

James lost his life to drugs and I guess there was no sense in his life until a four-legged friend appeared in it, who helped him get out of problems, brought good luck and became a useful guardian angel.

Now Bob and James (in the same sequence!) are wonderfully known to the residents of London, who meet them on the streets, near the subway and cafes, and to hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. Videos on Youtube, photos on Facebook, Twitter posts, and now a book written by James Bowen tell an amazing story about friendship with a cat that changed his life.

And this is what the street cat Bob looks like in real life:)

The story of how the world was created. London. In the life of a homeless street musician James Bowen, who suffers from an important drug addiction and self-esteem, a friend appears - the very homeless Bob - a ruddy street cat. The four-legged warrior gave James good luck and a chance to start life right away. Now this eccentric couple has become a London reminder. Moreover, the whole world now knows about them - posts on social networks, dozens of videos on Youtube - all dedicated to Bob and James. The book clearly tells the story of the friendship between a cat and a human.

James Bowen(English: James Bowen, born 15 February 1979, in Surrey) is a London writer and street musician. His books “A Street Cat Named Bob” and “The World of Bob the Cat,” co-authored with Gary Jenkins, became international bestsellers.

Early rocks

Bowen was born in Surrey in 1979. After the separation of his father, he moved to Australia with his mother and father. Life in the family was stressful, and the parts of the family were often moved, James was not supervised at school. They cared about him at school, and after a while they started sniffing glue. At the same time, Bowen became, in his own words, a “daredevil child” who would later be diagnosed with ADHD, schizophrenia and manic-depressive disorder. In 1997, the family returned to the UK and began living with their half-sister. It didn’t feel bad for a long time, and suddenly Bowen became homeless and began spending the night on the streets. At this very hour, having begun to experience the heroine, he tried to flow into the reality of the worldless.
