The distributor from the secondary lance supplies high voltage to the spark plugs at the required moment. A spark runs between the electrodes, igniting the combustible mixture.

In modern internal combustion engines, the firing system began to look much different, but the principle is the same. The breaker and distributor were replaced with an electronic control unit. Before speaking, such a block, next to the ignition, is simultaneously fired by the robot of the ignition system. Cylindrical coils are no longer likely to stagnate, their firing modules have been changed. Modules can be in different configurations: one module for two cylinders or for several cylinders. 5. To check the insulation support to ground level, you need to connect an ohmmeter through the skin terminal and to the casing of the heating coil. The ohmmeter in all cases may indicate a reading that exceeds 50 MOhm.

The VAZ-2110 firing system is contactless and microprocessor based. This section has a non-contact heating system. It consists of a distributor, a switch, an ignition coil, a candle, an ignition extinguisher, and high- and low-voltage wires.

The VAZ-2110 distributor has two main functions: firstly, it sets the moment of spark-opening of the wheel installation, the number of turns of the rotary shaft and the thrust on the engine, and in another way, it distributes the high-speed impulses to springs ("spark") along the cylinders in consistent order Their robots. The voltage must change sharply from the minimum (no more than 0.4 V) to the maximum (no more than 3 V less than the supply voltage).

If the steel screen with slots fits behind the sensor (indicated by slight snagging or a flabby sound when the roller is wrapped, as well as after frequent disassembly of the distributor), reverse the axial play of the roller (no more than 0.35 mm, adjustable by selecting washers) and placing the screen on the roller.

If necessary, replace the roller at collection. A faulty Hall sensor cannot be repaired (probably due to broken wires between the sensor itself and the block on the housing of the VAZ-2110 ignition system distributor).

You can roughly evaluate the serviceability of the vacuum regulator on a car. When the engine is running, a vacuum hose leads to the regulator from the carburetor fitting.

If the hose is now loosened, the engine speed will increase, and when removed, it will decrease again. Discharge can be saved for only a few seconds when you tighten the hose.

Visually, the effectiveness of the vacuum regulator can be overloaded by frequently removing the VAZ-2110 distributor and supplying pressure to the inlet fitting of the regulator.

In this case, the plate with the Hall sensor must rotate 7±1°, and when the release is removed, it must rotate back without jamming. Precise verification and adjustment of the vacuum and sub-center regulators of the forward-firing system is carried out on special stands.

The switch type 3620.3734 or 76.3734 disconnects the lance of the primary winding of the VAZ-2110 firing coil, converting the ceramic pulses of the impulse sensor to the flow in the firing coil.

The switch is checked with an oscilloscope using a special technique, but is not repairable. It is not possible to connect the switch connector when the heating system is turned on - this may cause damage to you (as well as other components of the heating system).

The VAZ-2110 firing coil – type 3122.3705 – is dry, with a closed magnetic circuit, and type 8352.12 – oil-filled, with an open magnetic circuit.

Data for verification: support of the primary winding at 25°C – 0.43±0.04 Ohm (3122.3705) or 0.42±0.05 Ohm (8352.12), secondary winding – 4.08±0.4 kOhm (3122.37) or 5±1 com (8352.12).

The insulation base on the mains is not less than 50 MOhm. VAZ-2110 spark plugs - type A17DVR, or A17DVRM, or A17DVRM1, or their imported analogues (with a modified support of 4-10 kOhm).

Life is supplied to the EPHH control unit only when the ignition is turned on, and when the ignition is switched on, the valve is immediately turned off (regardless of the position of the carburetor end valve). To check the robot, a voltmeter is connected to the EPXX VAZ-2110 heating unit.

There is a line from the end valve of the carburetor and it is connected to the ground. We start the engine and gradually increase the rotation frequency of the crankshaft, following the readings of the voltmeter.

After starting the engine, the voltage should show no less than 10 (the valve is closed), and when the rotation frequency of the crankshaft is close to 2100 xv-1, the voltage should sharply drop to a value of no more than 0.5 (the valve should close).

After this, the engine speed is completely reduced, with a rotation frequency of the crankshaft around 1900 hv-1, the voltage must increase to a large value (the valve must open up).

We install a wrap around 2200-2300 xv-1 (the valve is closed) and it is connected to the “mass” of the carburetor end valve - the valve must open.

Connection to the keruvannya block EPХХ VAZ-2110

We turn on the “minus” line from the battery.

We unscrew the two self-tapping screws securing the right flap facing the substructure tunnel and remove the shield.

We connect the caravan unit EPХХ VAZ-2110.

We unscrew the two nuts securing the block to the bracket and remove the block.

So, having removed the left flap facing the tunnel, the switch of the ignition system comes out of the bracket.

Replacement of the VAZ-2110 ignition distributor

To replace the cover of the ignition distributor (distributor) and the rotor (runner), dismantling the ignition distributor is not necessary. We remove high-voltage darts from the caps.

We unscrew the two screws securing the cover and remove them.

The cover is installed in only one position, and the hole of the first cylinder is marked with the number “1”.

Other wires are installed consistently in the order of operation of the cylinders - 1-3-4-2 (directly wrapping the slider - opposite the year arrow, extending from the side of the socket cover). After pulling, we remove the slider.

Installation of the slider is carried out only in one position if there is a slot on the straightening shaft on the side opposite the contact.

To dismantle the VAZ-2110 distributor, the assembly includes high-voltage rods, a hose from the vacuum regulator and an electrical connector.

We unscrew the nut of the upper fastening of the ignition distributor and remove the high-voltage wire trim.

Having tightened two more nuts, we remove the spacer.

The VAZ-2110 ignition system distributor is reinforced with a humic ring, which can be removed with a tight screw. We can remove the dry screen.

We unscrew the two screws securing the front bearing trim and the screw securing the socket. We understand that it is rose.

We remove the lock washer of the vacuum regulator rod and unscrew the two screws of its fastening.

The vacuum regulator is removed. It is known that the front bearing is connected to the Hall sensor.

We unscrew two screws and remove the VAZ-2110 Hall sensor.

After tightening the screw, we remove the spring. A pin with a diameter of 2.5 mm can be knocked out.

We remove the coupling and adjusting washers, which are responsible for ensuring the axial free travel of the roller is no more than 0.35 mm.

We can install the VAZ-2110 over-center regulator.

The oil seal is knocked out through two openings in the housing.

The new oil seal is pressed into place using a pipe cut.

Place a washer on the oil seal and seal it in several places.

We remove the spacer from the gate sequence by oiling the edge of the oil seal and the bearings.

Before installing the distributor for the VAZ-2110, we tighten the slider, but do not close the cover (or remove the cover when installing a new distributor).

We coat the gum ring with engine oil, push the distributor onto the studs and, turning the shaft by the slider, achieve a connection between the slot of the distributor shaft and the coupling.

In this position, the VAZ-2110 distributor is pressed until it stops and the nuts are tightened.

For easy regulation of the ignition moment, there are “+” and “-” signs on the flange of the ignition distributor, and on the body of the auxiliary units there is an adjustment lug.

One groove on the flange corresponds to eight degrees of rotation of the crankshaft. There is a protrusion on the body of additional units from the middle of the scale on the VAZ-2110 fire distributor. We tighten the nuts.

Behind the strobe, we check and set the moment of ignition. For this we connect the “+” strobe light to the “+” terminal of the battery, the “mass” to the “-” terminal of the battery, and the strobe sensor is pressed to the high voltage level of the 1st cylinder. -

We start the engine and direct the fleeting flow of strobe light into the crankcase hatch. If the timing of the settings is correct, then when the engine is idling when the engine is warm, the mark on the flywheel will be opposite the cut of the crankcase shield.

To regulate the ignition moment, we turn the VAZ-2110 engine, loosen the nuts securing the ignition distributor and turn it to the required position.

To increase the intensity of the ignition, the housing of the igniter is rotated behind the ignition arrow, and to change it against the ignition arrow (as it is visible from the side of the ignition socket cover). Tighten the fastening nuts.

How to check the cat's fire in a VAZ

If the coil malfunctions, the engine will not start. A characteristic sign of a faulty boiler is an increase in temperature when it is heated. This is easy to put on a dot with your hand.

Signs of a faulty firing module may include the following:

  • failure to start the engine or vidmova under the hour of startup;
  • failures during sudden changes in speed;
  • visoka vitrata paliva;
  • do not work on two cylinders, the engine will be in a hurry;
  • variety of dynamics;
  • sudden drop in tension;
  • decrease in tension and cravings after warming up.

These symptoms may be caused by the module. To detect a malfunction, it is enough to spend a lot of money on diagnosing spark plugs, high-voltage wires and caps. Here we turn off other elements of the ignition system and we will blame it if the ignition module itself is faulty.

Checking the coil and igniting can be done in one of two ways. The simplest one: remove the central wire from the breaker-distributor, bring it to the motor housing and turn it with the starter, which will cause a spark to run through. After this, we check the supply of energy to the surrounding spark plug, for which we twist the working spark plug, bring it to the ground with its contact and try to start the engine. In this case, the spark must go completely out of whack. In all likelihood, the cause will be a malfunction of such an element of the system as the firing coil.

To check the module in another way, we need a multimeter, then follow the step-by-step instructions:

  1. We check the vitality and authenticity of the impulses supplied from the ECU. The life is checked between the central pin (15) of the wire block that connects to the module and the engine mass. When the ignition is turned on, the voltage is less than 12 V. In other cases, either the battery is dead or the ECU is not working.
  2. We check the pulses from the ECU on the dart well. One tester probe is installed on connector 15, the other on the far right, then on the far left. The assistant cranks the engine with the starter, and in the meantime we record short-term voltage drops with the tester. Since there are no impulses from the ECU, it is the fault itself.
  3. We check the supports on the secondary windings of the coils. We place the tester in the vibrating mode and vibrate it on the high-voltage pins of the module cover. Between 1st and 4th pins and 2-3 pins there is 5.4 kOhm. Otherwise, the module requires replacement.
  4. The support of the first windings is checked between contacts 15 and the rightmost, then the leftmost pins. Nominal - 0.5 Ohm. Vigilance is not allowed.
  5. We check the module for a short circuit. In ohmmeter mode, we install one multimeter probe on the central base and the other on the metal body. It’s not Opir’s fault. If the device fixes any support (except for one or the other), the module can be replaced.

Connection and replacement of VAZ short circuit

The procedure for removing and installing the coil on an old VAZ model:

  1. First, connect the central high-voltage wire leading to the distributor.
  2. Place all the ingredients from the contacts of the cat. So how can the stench be attached to the additional nuts, for which you need an 8 key.
  3. If you don’t know which parts to connect to which socket, then it’s best to immediately remember or identify them, so that later during installation you can connect them correctly.
  4. Unscrew the coil body. It is attached to a clamp (clamps), which is pressed to the car body with two nuts.
  5. After finishing the work, you can remove the boiler and replace it as needed.

For new type VAZ cars:

  1. We dismantle the “minus terminal” from the rechargeable battery.
  2. We remove the dry upper cover of the engine. Since the engine volume is 1.5 liters, then this part is missing and this part is skipped.
  3. We remove high-voltage darts from the coil.
  4. Now, using the additional key number 13, we tighten the two fastening elements.
  5. Using a 17 wrench, loosen one bolt securing the coil.
  6. Vimamo module.
  7. Using a hexagon, we twist the spool out of the way.
  8. Folding is carried out in turn order.

With particular respect to the varto turn on the connections, the fragments of high-voltage parts are to be dissolved in the strict order conveyed by the design. If no one is killed, the car will be damaged or the engine may not start.

It’s easy to replace the boiler with a VAZ. As a car owner, you start working in your garage, and since it all turned out so difficult, you need to go to a car service center. With particular respect, we will be careful to select the product, the fragments from which are deposited to the extent that the engine and the combustion system are well-functioning.

Models VAZ 8 and 16 valves

Regardless of the similarity in engine design, the combustion system of the 1.5-liter injection 16-valve engine is upgraded from the 1.6 engine to 16 valves. The 1.6 liter engine had an electronic contactless ignition system with individual coils on a skin spark plug. Therefore, the ignition module was no longer needed. This system is reliable and cheap to operate; if one coil goes out of order, there is no need to change the entire module.

On the 16-valve injection engine VAZ 2112 with a volume of 1.5 liters, the same non-contact ignition system was installed as on the 8-valve engine, but the ignition module was installed differently. Yogo catalog number 2112-3705010. The design of the module has become unchanged - two firing coils (for 1-4 and 2-3 cylinders) plus key commutators in a single block. The spark is supplied to the cylinders in pairs by a path of idle spark. This means that spark is created in two cylinders at the same time - in one on the compression stroke (working spark), in the other on the exhaust stroke (idle spark).
